Unless the furniture is made from an impenetrable material (or close to it), such as wood, glass, metal, even plastic or leather, chances are it will contain allergens. Fabric covered, especially used older furniture, will contain dust, dust mites, dander, pet hair, etc. etc. If it is one of the former materials make sure you scrub it down, every nook and cranny, with as strong of a cleaner that you can tolerate, rinse well and dry before you even bring it in, as they too can have things hiding. I’m not sure, but you could look into recovering it, but you are covering up what you can’t see. Don’t know if your allergies could tollerate that or not. This may all be different if it is fairly new though, but you didn’t really say.

It would have a label stating that it’s anti allergic.I have never heard of this before.Ever.Didn’t know such a thing existed.

Check the cushions for labels or take off all the cushions of the couch/chairs and check if the liners have labels on it. If in doubt. Look up the make of your funiture eg. Lazyboy brand: check their website or call 1-800 number and ask.
