Lewey asked: I have a medium sized sub box for 2×12 inch subs. Its a bit loose when the bass starts pumping.
Can anyone tell me what materials I would need, and how to fiberglass the interior?
Just for strengthening the box.
Thanks!

I would just try putting some silicone beads around the inside cracks and around the edges to keep in the air; and maybe some wood blocking in the corners for bracing, also you could dynamat the interior. I don’t think Fiberglas will stop the buzzing..you could also put metal or plastic strapping on the outside to strengthen it…It may not be the box but something else that’s buzzing…though…
Make sure everything is secured with at least 2″ wood screws, (NEVER USE NAILS) and like the other guys said, get some caulk from the hardware store and run a bead on every seam on the inside of the box to make it air tight.
Fiberglass is a terrible idea. First and foremost, fiberglass really isn’t as strong as wood, unless you use a ton of it. The reason that most pro audio uses fiberglass is because it is moldable into unique shapes, and of the moldable materials it is the best solution. Besides that it is extremely messy and difficult to work with.
