Ted S asked: Is there any way to get water out of the interior of an insulated travel mug? This is one of those with a stainless steel container surrounded by a see-through acrylic shell with an air space in between. I inadvertently ran mine (a gift with sentimental value) through the dishwasher (even though it says on the bottom “not dishwasher safe”! Duh!) Now it has about a half teaspoon of water in the interior space. Is there any way to get this out with destroying or damaging the mug?

Try keeping it in a hot area so that the water will evaporate or dry out over time, perhaps you could put it next to a blow dryer for a while.
Drill a small hole in the bottom of the outer shell to drain the water. After the water has drained, fill the hole with silicone sealant. Try this and if it doesnt work, buy a new mug. At least we tried.
drill a tiny hole in the bottom and put it in the oven at a low temp for a couple hours
I have had the same problem. On the bottom of mine there was a foam covering that came off after being in the dishwasher. There was a ***** there that I unscrewed and was able to let the water out. If you really like this mug, take off the foam and try it. Nothing to loose, right?
