do you think that I should major into interior design and dietetics?

Interior design is really what I want to go for. and I think I will. But the what if’s are going into my head. So dietetics should be a back-up plan. but the problem is this: longer time spent studying science which I plan not to go into unless I seriously can’t get a job in interior design. so do you still think that’ll be a smart move to invest an extra 1.5 years in college?

If you’re going to carry a double major, keep both majors in the realm of what you’re goals are. Example…interior design and architecture…dietetics and nursing….business and accounting, etc. By doing this, you will be taking courses that have similarities

I would say yes the extra time will serve you well,I work with designers on a weekly sometimes daily baisis ,and I ccan tell you it is hard to get into, and really does’nt pay that well until you get into a large well known firm, diatetics on the other hand pays better and is much easier to find work in ,so it would be a great fall back.

I thick that you can major into both. I think there’s really a right or wrong way about this if you do both. sure, it’ll take you longer to graduate. maybe an extra 2 years, but I think it’ll serve you well. In the future, if you’re not interested in design, then you have the dietitic degree and it also helps when you apply to grad school. they’ll see you as a well rounded person with the design degree and plus, when you’re taking all those dieteics courses, you can bring variety by taking art classes so I think both would work.
