Panada asked: I’m approaching my final year in high school and I want to go to a post secondary interior design school. I’ve read the requirements of a few schools and they require for you to know how to draw. Problem is that I’m not the best artist but I love creating new looks. Is it possible to get into the programs without having the ability to actually draw them?

not really… it’s like statistics.. even though they have programs that can do everything, they still want you to figure it out by hand
even though most interior designers use autoCAD, you still need to know how to sketch and shade and do renderings for your portfolio…
i think if you really love it you should stick with it.meaning if it means you have to learn how to draw along the way you should. i think you do know how to draw first….but i draw horrible but some times if im really into it then i guess im good.
Anyone can learn how to draw. You ought to learn even though you may not have developed these skills. You will if you try and you might enjoy it.
