When I want to send e-mails, the window shows a graphic cartoon of a man and a dog. The message I want to write has to be shifted because of this graphic. I absolutely do not want any graphics on my outgoing e-mails.

Could it be in your signature field? If so, try this.
    1. Click Options, Mail Options in the upper right of your Yahoo mail page.
    2. Scroll down the middle column and click on “Signatures” to open your signature page. Delete the picture from this box and save changes.
