i am an unfortunate multimedia arts student who wishes for an academic career. i think it would have been an easier more stress free life where happiness is possible. i dont think artists are happy people, especially in our day and age. just my thoughts

Do people make a good $45.000 a year in graphic design? Yes, people that haven’t listened to others negative opinions on their so called “fairytale” of a dream. You don’t create art just to hang on walls for people to critic, you do it for yourself because its all you think about. You already label your art “stupid” you’ve already lost. At the end of the day you want to be doing something you enjoy, and not be bothered by what others say. if they don’t like your work, well **** em.

Don’t ever give up or let people kill your passion. Monet didn’t start selling proper until into his 50’s. If you wanna be a fine artist, go for it. If you don’t sell – em then. Still paint and develop your own style and vision. Life is one big canvas. Go paint it. Good luck
